That night, everyone saw each other face-to-face again — unforgettable, indeed.
Dressed black, the school administration, faculty, and staff of Montessori De Sagrada Familia, Inc. (MDSF) celebrated the Teachers’ Appreciation Night at The Chapters with the theme “Unforgettable: Reminiscing the Memories, Reuniting with People, Returning to our Roots ”, April 1.
“The last time that we met in the social hall was March before the lockdown in 2020. Who would have thought that after two years of online classes, we will meet again here in the same place to celebrate Teachers’ Appreciation Night face-to-face,” Ma’am Maria Cristina Silamor, the principal and school directress, recalled that night.
During that night, the Loyalty Award was given to those teachers and staff who have served the school for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years. Ma’am Jovelina Inductivo, the Department Head of the Lower Grade School received the 25-years-in-service Award together with Ma’am Aurora Buenaventura, the school’s registrar, and Ma’am Grace Bernaldez, the school’s librarian.
“I can say that commitment and loyalty are words we often associate with relationships and love. It is never easy, much like relationships and marriage but when you give your best with your work and with your relationship, when you are committed and contented, you can always look forward to reaping the benefits of a productive, happy and fulfilling partnership with your job for years to come,” Ma’am Inductivo mentioned.
Also, other teachers were recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the school. The subject area supervisors, the department heads, and the research teachers received recognition for the services they rendered to the school.
Other awardees during the night were teachers and staff who did not have records of tardiness, teachers who successfully passed their licensure examinations, and the school administrators for their commitment, kindness, and generosity to the faculty and staff, especially during this crisis.
As one of the highlights of the night, each department was recognized for its exemplary work and selfless sacrifices for the two years that the school conducted online classes. Meanwhile, each department created a short tribute video to showcase their memorable experiences this school year.
