Squid Game invaded the celebration of Teachers’ Day.
Ending the month with a blast, teachers of Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) enjoyed the celebration of Teachers’ Day through a series of fun-filled games inspired by the hit Korean Netflix film “Squid Game”, October 29.
Strictly observing the health protocols, teachers participated in different games including Flip the Bottle, Read My Lips, Squid Ink, Pusades, and Squidvenger Hunt. After relishing their lunch, the patience and concentration of the teachers were tested in the Flip the Bottle and then they battled with each other in guessing the words being mimicked by the spectator.
“The games were really exciting and fun. We were able to practice our strategic thinking as teachers in accomplishing the different tasks. What a great way to celebrate Teachers’ Day!” Ma’am Alyza Sien Santos, an ESP teacher, shared in an interview.
The challenge was not over yet when the teachers faced another game, Squid Ink, in which they had to sing a song starting with the last word of the previous song. Meanwhile, another game, Pusades, was prepared that made the teachers think under pressure as they guessed the word being reenacted by one member of their group in three minutes.
Lastly, the teachers engaged in the highlight of the event, Squidvenger Hunt, in which they participated in a series of activities in different stations in the school that promote strong body, strong mind, and strong soul.
“For me, this is my favorite part [Squidvenger Hunt] because I was able to do self-reflection. I learned to value my profession more while valuing my physical body, my mental health, and my faith,” SIr Jim Carl Jose, a Mathematics teacher, narrated.
