Clothed with vibrant hues and contagious smiles, the upper-grade department left the entire community in awe as they graced various renowned Philippine festivals in the recently concluded MDSF’s 23rd Founding Anniversary at the MDSF gymnasium, Thursday, December 19.
With the school-wide theme: “Excellence In Our Blood, Sense of Family In Our Hearts”. The upper-grade Sagradans proved once more what it means to standout with boldness and confidence. Having the sub-theme: “#MDSFColorfulCulturalFestivals: Cherishing Country’s Culture and Nature”, each participating section showcased the inviting beauty, authenticity, and intricacy of over 15 well-celebrated festivals in the country including the famous Singkaban Festival in the province of Bulacan. Over 15 sections comprising the grades 4-6 executed 15 diverse festivals with a final performance every after grade level.
The MDSF gym became an instant gallery of superb talents, creative juices, and spectacular choreography through the shared efforts of the entire Sagradan community. With the supervision of each adviser, the upper-grade pupils transformed into full-blown dancers ready to take flight to immerse the audience in their one-of-a-kind presentation. The resounding claps, cheers, and overwhelming feeling filled the entire venue as the parents, guardians and other support system showed their immeasurable support to all performing sections.
It is not only excellence that was magnified all throughout the program, but also the sense of family. As the school stands tall and proud in celebrating its 23rd founding anniversary, one key factor to which success can be associated is the ever-present sense of family, not only in practice, in service, but also in victories.
Indeed, when there is family, there is forever.
