When she was still a student, Regine did not envision herself to be earning a living out of intricately designed cakes. After finishing her bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant and Institution Management in 2008 at the University of the Philippines, Regine was already contented baking pastries for her family during gatherings and lunches. She was fascinated with the science behind pastry arts and she would get inspired whenever she sees the reaction of the people after tasting her treats. It was the year 2010 when one of her closest friends commissioned her to bake a fondant cake for her daughter’s 7th birthday. The positive feedback of her first customer gave her an idea to bake cakes that are customized to the wishes and requests of her future clients.
An awesome cake creation later on led to succeeding orders from her friends and even people outside her network. Mothers of all ages would tap her to bake colorful themed cakes for their children. Couples of destination weddings even as far as Japan would request her to bake their wedding cakes according to their preferences. Later on, she built the Regine’s Homebaked Goodies company to accommodate her clients’ high demand for her products. Her talent and creativity had gone viral as her clients posted pictures of her cute and eye-catching cakes on social media. Aside from cakes, Regine is also known for her cupcakes, cheesecakes and cake pops. In the year 2011, these bestsellers were featured by various print and broadcast media showcasing Regine’s exceptional baking skills.
What sets her baking services from others? Regine does everything with love. Whenever she bakes, she already visualizes the happy and satisfied faces of her customers in her mind. Her strong desire to satisfy the recipients of her products pushes her to put her best in every process of every cake project. Regine is a strong believer that excellence in service can also be fulfilled through a positive outlook in life. Being an entrepreneur, she acknowledges that it entails hardships like difficult situations and people who are hard to deal with. But Regine is able to overcome these challenges because she sees things with greater excitement and hope.
At the moment, Regine is happily married with LT Rillorta. They have a month-old son named Theo whom she draws her “cakespirations” from.
