Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) recognized Zeth Quiambao’s hard-earned victory as MDSF held a homecoming ceremony last June 21 at MDSF Gym.
School principal Maria Cristina Silamor introduced and shared the experiences of Quiambao, who notched the gold in Palarong Pambansa last May, after the Mass of the Holy Spirit.
With his parents Mr. and Mrs. Arcy and Tin Quiambao near him, the 12-year old student started his speech with gratitude to the institution for the recognition.
“The road to your dream may be tough and you may sometimes fail but you have to keep going,” Quiambao followed in his speech.
He also expressed some of his advices and he emphasized that we should pray and thank the Lord for everything.
Quiambao, who shared that he has been in MDSF since Advanced Casa, also stated that he proudly answers that he is from MDSF whenever people ask him what school he is from.
“I have been a Sagradan since pre-school and I will always carry the Sagradan spirit in my heart wherever my journey takes me,” he concluded with his thankfulness to the school.
The Sagradan community, after his talk, chanted and Mrs. Silamor read and handed the plaque of recognition including a scholarship granted by the school.
“Overwhelming yung feeling of gratitude na makita ko po yung entire community na masaya rin sila para sa akin habang tinatanggap ko po yung plaque,” Quiambao answered in an interview.
He also said that he feels blessed because at his own little way, he hopes that he served as an inspiration to others.
