To prevent the spread of common diseases in the community, the Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) through its Health Services Unit posted reminders and guidelines to Sagradans in the school’s Facebook page during outbreaks.
With more than 10,000 followers, the MDSF Facebook page is used as a platform to post infographs on symptoms, treatments, and preventions of common diseases such as hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), influenza, dengue, polio, and sore eyes.
Last July 18, the Health Services Unit also posted information regarding vaping and its health effects.
Students expressed positive feedbacks regarding the Facebook posts, saying those are helpful especially to the parents who may lack awareness about health problems.
“Helpful sya lalo na sa mga magulang na walang time mag search pa about doon,” Shandria Caira Fangon from 10-Humility stated.
Meanwhile, Sean Audric Uy of 11-Hemingway told that the reminders are helpful in promoting the health of Sagradans.
“I think it’s a very wonderful step made by the school to promote a healthy culture or life among the students. They really prioritize the well-being of the students, from mental to physical health,” he shared.
