Now is the time to pay it forward.
Sagradan Viking swim athletes Jolo Reyes and Miller Wisco used to be the ones being trained by their coaches in the water. This summer, the two swimmers decided to have a productive summer and get training, this time not as students but as instructors of Bert Lozada Swim School.
Every school year, Wisco and Reyes would be the school’s delegates to the BULPRISA DISTRICT meet competing with other swimmers from diff parts of Bulacan. They have always stood out and garnered quite a number of medals in every swim competition in the past. Reyes was even hailed as the most outstanding swimmer of Bulacan from 2014-2015 and even made it to the Palarong Pambansa in 2015. Last March, Reyes graduated from the senior high program as the recipient of the sports excellence award for his outstanding contributions in the field of competitive swimming.
All throughout his mentorship with Reyes and Wisco, MDSF swim coach, Mr. Carlo Renomeron of Bert Lozada Swim School saw the potential in the two veteran swimmers and invited Jolo and Miller to be his apprentice coaches this summer of 2018. At the moment, the two Sagradan Vikings are teaching young kids the basics of swimming and water safety at the MDSF Swim Center, their second home. Their parents and families are very proud of their accomplishments. Aside from the medals and awards that they have received in the past, the strong desire to serve others is one of the best things that they have reaped out of their swim journey.
