Continuing the Sagradan legacy, a Grade 8 student bagged the gold medal at Oration (Junior High School Level) in the recently concluded Bulacan Private Schools Association (BulPriSA) District III Meet held at Living Angels Christian Academy (LACA), September 17.
With the help of her coach, Mrs. Vilma C. Dela Cruz, Andrea Danele C. Rosario went home with first place after a long series of preparations.
“I prayed everyday before the event. Mrs. Dela Cruz helped me throughout the whole preparation and we practiced everyday to make sure that I am prepared. I also avoided sweets and cold drinks,” she said in an interview.
According to Rosario, Mrs. Dela Cruz motivated her more after winning,
“Be yourself, you already won just by competing and winning in the BulPriSA is just a bonus,” her coach told her.
Rosario will advance for the forthcoming Provincials and will undergo the same amount of preparation.
“The most important thing I do is to pray and ask for Lord’s guidance. I will also do the same preparations I did when I competed in BulPriSA,” the orator said.
She also added that her sources of strength are her family, friends, and God. Always be confident in yourself.
“Don’t be afraid to explore new things, be confident about your voice. Feel what you are saying and never give up,” she concluded.
