Sagradan Knights survived the day with a sweep, winning three do or die games in the Bulacan Private Schools Association (BulPriSA) basketball (boys) event yesterday.
Montessori De Sagrada Familia(MDSF) started the day with a massacre win over Fernandez College of Arts and Technology(FCAT),86 – 40, ending their campaign in the competition.
Knights’ captain Calvin Tiongson tallied 23 points and 3 steals provided the firepower for the team and led them to victory continuing their journey with a 2-1 record.
Riding their momentum, MDSF ousted STI College Baliuag and their chance for quarterfinals, 66-61.
MDSF’s forward Sean Mangulabnan finished with a monstrous double-double with 17 points and 10 boards along with Sagrada’s Backcourt duo Albert Inductivo and Cyd Cruz teamed up for a total of 40 points.
Sagradan Knights’ last assignment for the day was another fated match up against the Immaculate Conception School of Baliuag (ICSB). MDSF demolished ICSB, 65-40, in another do or die game.
Sagrada’s bigman Luis Sagum led the charge and recorded another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds crushing ICSB’s hope to advance in the tourney.
MDSF will face Erhard Science College (ESC) in another do or die game for a spot in the quarters.
