A young sagradan declaimer triumphantly delivered his declamation piece, thus making him the third place winner in the recently concluded BulPriSA Cultural District Meet 2018 held at the Living Angels Christian Academy, Baliwag, Bulacan last September 18.
The young lad, Francis Achilles D. Jael wowed the judges with his heartfelt delivery of Teresita Francisco’s My Little Baby Brother. He managed to outperformed the other 30 contestants from the other participating private schools in the District 3 after giving his very best during the competition.
In an interview, Jael said that he felt overjoyed as his name was called to be given the third place medal award. Last year, Jael competed in the same cultural event where he finished fourth place. This added more to his ecstatic feeling as he placed better this year.
In a Facebook status, Jael’s mother posted that it’s not about being the best, it’s about being better than you were yesterday pertaining to his son’s win from 4th last year to 3rd this year.
Moreover, his coach, Mr. Jomar Dela Cruz, Subject Area Coordinator for Mathematics in the Elementary Department said that he is very proud as his ward will move to the next level of the contest. “I am happy to be part of his success. We’ll practice more for the provincial level”, he said.
Jael, together with the other two declaimers of District 3 will compete against the other winners from the other districts in the Provincial Meet of BulPriSA this coming October.
