“I ended it the way I started it,” said Jonah Rochelle Hilario after grabbing the first place at the On-the-Spot Poster Making (Senior High School) Contest in the Bulacan Private Schools’ Association (BulPriSA) District III Meet, held at Lining Angels Christian Academy, September 19.
Trained by her coach, Miss Rowena S.J. Jumaquio, and her alternative coach, Miss Alyssa De Leon, Hilario said that she felt thankful because this is her last time competing in the said competition since sixth grade.
“Masaya and thankful kay God kasi prayer ko ‘to in my last year saSagrada to bring back the gold sa poster making nalinalabananko,” she said.
Hilario, who also bagged the gold medal during her grade six year, gave advice to aspiring artists and future BulPriSA delegates.
“Hindi ko naman talaga gaanong priority ‘yung pagdadrawawing pero need mo siyang mahalin and at the same time, trust yourself and yung mga plans Niya,” said the grade 12 student.
She will advance to the Provincial Meet along with other Sagradan delegates.
