To enhance its teaching force and curricular programs, Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) conducts benchmarking activity held at The Beacon School in Taguig City, August 30.
MDSF continues to innovate and enrich its curricular program and heighten its faculty line up through the said activity. Teachers from the preschool and elementary level 1 departments, together with Mrs. Maria Cristina S. Silamor and Mrs. Maria Carmela S. Ong, the school directress and preschool assistant principal respectively, were warmly welcomed by the Beacon’s Primary Years Programme Coordinator.
The activity hopes to improve the school’s teaching force which is the agent of bringing its vision into reality as they observed practices from the teachers of The Beacon School. Moreover, the visit aims to heighten and develop a child-friendly curriculum that is at par with global standards.
Benchmarking in schools is a tool not only allows a school to know where it stands on the global scale but most importantly it gives a chance to improve and measure their improvement. Thus, it enables authentic learning, exchange of experiences and ideas between individual schools and teachers.
Furthermore, this benchmarking activity aspires to help the whole MDSF community to plan and implement programs for the benefit of its students, teachers, and administrators. It also promotes professional development among its faculty members.
Hence, The Beacon School is an independent, non-profit, secular, and co-educational school for students from Pre-K to Grade 8 authorized by the Department of Education and International Baccalaureate
