To improve the nutritional status of 193 identified malnourished children in Baliwag, teachers of Montessori De Sagrada Familia support the community meal packaging campaign against malnutrition, November 13.
“It’s nice to give back what we have. Spending our holidays are meaningful and worthwhile by participating this community campaign.” John Erick F. Cauzon, MDSF teacher explained.
People from all ages took the initiative to pack meals which involve direct feeding to the beneficiaries from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The packed meals include vitamins, veggies, soya, flavorings, rice and other nutritious supplements.
According to Mr. Bong Sablan, Public Information Officer (PIO), the response of the community is very overwhelming. As it is, of all ages they really participated in the event.
“Our goal is to have zero cases of malnutrition in the town of Baliwag.” Mayor Ferdie V. Estrella statement. The Municipality of Baliwag hopes to fight against hunger and malnutrition to address the needs of every child.
