Mrs. Vilma C. Dela Cruz, the principal of Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) officiated a background meeting concerning the forthcoming District 3 Meet of the Bulacan Private Schools Association (BulPriSA) at the school gymnasium, Sept. 13.
Present in the briefing ceremony were the representatives of MDSF in the different events in academic, cultural, and athletic meets. Also in attendance were the teacher-coaches of the Sagradan delegates for this year’s district meet together with some of the sports trainers, and the School Directress Mrs. Maria Cristina S. Silamor.
The background meeting tagged as a simple send-off ceremony aimed to inform the delegates and coaches about the different contest and game rules of the 3-day competition of wit, talent, and skills.
In her speech, Dela Cruz emphasized the needs to showcase the Sagradan core values to the whole BulPriSA community. She mentioned that good manners and right conduct during the contest are more valuable than the awards that they will get if they win. “Be the ambassador of good will of MDSF,” she shared.
Furthermore, the school principal, who happens to be the coach in extemporaneous speech and oration reminded the participants of MDSF to observe good grooming, modesty, and decency in action and behavior all throughout the meet.
In the middle of the program, Rev. Fr. Ventura P. Galman, the parish priest of Sagrada Familia Church blessed all the delegates and coaches through a prayer and singing of the Lord’s Prayer. He aimed to bestow the holy spirit to all the Sagradans present in the briefing. He reminded them to be thankful to the Lord whatever the result of the contest will be.
On the latter part of the program, Dela Cruz reminds the whole Sagradan delegation to the BulPriSA District 3 Meet to bring home the bacon.
The BulPriSA District 3 Meet will be on Sept. 19-21 where the municipality of Baliwag serves as the venue.
