People nowadays are fond of posting their photos on social media with the hashtags of the brand of their clothes and the initials “OOTD” which means “outfit of the day”.
As we browse these pictures, we can’t help but hit the “like” button especially if the wardrobe of the person we are browsing matches our fashion style.
Last weekend, a Sagradan from the 7th grade Giane Somere Q. Montano posted her own #ootd photo which captured the attention of the Sagradan online community, a Dora doll wearing Sagradan high school uniform. Her post garnered a number of likes and comments expressing how cute her Sagradan doll was.
Creating a Sagradan uniform for her Dora doll was an idea of Somere’s mother, Mrs. Jhoi Montano, a clay artist and crafter. She narrated that her daughter started collecting dolls when she was a baby. They would regularly ask their dressmaker to create doll clothes that are similar to Somere’s. When Somere went to MDSF to study, they thought it would be awesome for Dora to be a Sagradan too!
At the moment, Somere spends her free time playing the violin and doing Calligraphy lettering. She wants to be a doctor someday but because of her interest in the arts, she also aspires to pursue fashion and crafting as her hobbies. Will Somere create her own fashion line for dolls? The future is indeed bright for this talented Sagradan!
