To further increase the awareness about Cyberbullying and Responsible Social Media Use, Attorney Enrique “Buko” Dela Cruz conducted a seminar among the MDSF high school students at the school gymnasium, October 6.
The program began with the discussion of Anti-Bullying Act of 2013. Following the discussion, students and faculty members were asked to identify different situations wherein bullying and irresponsible use of social media happens.
According to him, the law is intended to protect and safeguard the welfare of the students in school.Though bullying has many forms, there are many ways on how to avoid and fight for it. He also emphasized the legal bases for these circumstances.
This orientation is indeed timely and relevant for it further enlightened the students about the different acts of bullying and the responsible use of social media, how to stand up and speak out against it.
